For Spaceships 2, I was in charge of the two largest spaceships.
This is the Carrier, one of the most difficult tasks I've ever had. I was responsible for all the texturing, including the exterior and interior. The ship is longer than 250 meters, and optimization was key for this project. Only trims and tileables were used here due to engine restrictions. Keeping the ship looking good while maintaining a decent texel desntiy was the most difficult part. The texel density was 2,56 for big exterior areas and 5,12 for detailed parts, but some areas were as low as 1.8; many tricks and hours were invested into making everything look consistent at any distance.
Due to the recent layoffs at the company, I worked on this project for 4 weeks, and the amazing people at the Kitbash team finished the work.
